Additionally, GTT VP of Marketing Mike Haldane will present two papers: one on a regional traffic collision warning system and one on the award-winning emergency vehicle preemption system in Doha, Qatar.

ATC and GTT will host a live demo of Opticom solutions each day at the conference. Intersections near the Melbourne Exhibition and Conference Centre equipped with Opticom technology will show visitors how:

Emergency vehicles can preempt green lights to get first responders there faster and safer.

Transit vehicles can get priority to allow them to arrive on-time and according to the schedule.

Both of Mike Haldane's presentations will take place on Thursday, Oct 13 as part of the Vehicle and Network Safety stream in Room 101 and are free for congress attendees. Access the program HERE

GTT is a world leader in priority control and traffic sensing systems, with thousands of implementations of its acclaimed Opticom TSP and EVP solutions. Opticom TSP provides busses and other public transport vehicles with the ability to request green lights at intersections, allowing for better schedule adherence and headway management, while Opticom EVP allows ambulances and other emergency vehicles to navigate congested intersections more effectively, resulting in improved response times and a reduction in accidents. The Canoga™ Traffic Sensing Solution captures precise, real-time traffic data so traffic engineers can make faster, more accurate decisions to keep traffic moving smoothly on roadways.

The 23rd World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems takes place in Melbourne, Australia, from October 10-14, at the Melbourne Exhibition and Conference Centre.
