The cameras can detect individuals in buildings during emergency and hazardous situations, helping to protect life. They can also detect people at night when theft, assault and vandalism crimes most commonly occur.

The FLIR thermal imaging cameras are light-weight, easy to install, unobtrusive and have a range of mounting options. They rotate through 360° and tilt through 90° and also have 32 preset positions, which can be triggered by an alarm activation or the push of a button.

The D-series offers extremely affordable thermal imaging domes. They incorporate the same thermal imaging technology found in many of FLIR's most sophisticated systems, but are packaged for users who have indoor security and safety as their primary concern.

Contrary to other technologies, thermal imaging does not need any light whatsoever to produce an image on which the smallest of details can be seen.

The thermal imaging dome cameras are available in two sizes...

D-6 with a 6.3mm wide angle lens for detection over a large area and images of 160x120 pixels

D-19 with a 19mm lens for ultra sharp 320 x 240 pixel images and more detailed images

Both models will detect people in zero visibility environments.
